Football

Holy smokes!

Apparently the last time I popped in here was back in November (-->insert wide eyed emoji with its mouth open and hands on it's cheeks.)??!?! I feel like I'm dating this blog. I go through periods where I like the idea of it and get super inspired/excited to write about something and  post non-stop BUT then I get scared and become scared of committing and entering into a seriously relationship. -->Sidenote:  can you tell I could never be a writer?? I don't even want to know how many times I wrote "and."--> Back to the regular scheduled program...... I realize that I teether on the edge of commitment but then I back track and go flirt with other things but I always seem to come back running to this rambling blog of mine. Maybe I'm just a heathen for pain.

Am I just destined to be a flirty serial dater but never a committer??? Totally not trying to turn this post into a therapy sesh so back to the topic that I really came her to talk(?)....write(?)... about

FOOTBALL!!!!!!!

More specifically the NFL playoffs and more specifically the Cowboy's loss against the Packers. The Sunday game had me acting like a madwomen either ready to be committed to a psychiatric ward due to all the cursing and incoherent spewing OR I was going to end up at a hospital from almost suffering a heart attack. I mean I was basically acting like Yeezy  does at his concerts when he talks about random crap that makes no sense. Except I was cursing the packers one moment and cheering them on the next.

Let's get one thing straight.... I HATE THE COWBOYS. Yes. I said it. HATE. And the patriots but that's for a different post. I mean a post can only contain so much hate.

Don't come asking me why or to give you a reason why I don't like them because then we would have to spend hours upon hours hearing me and let's be honest, my voice aint that soothing. I will summarize the reason in one word: Arrogance. Everyone from Jerry Jones to players. They are arrogant and don't care. UGHHHHHH. Just talking about them makes me break out in rashes.

This whole season everyone around me was just hopping on the Cowboy bandwagon due to Prescott, Ezekiel and Dez popularity and their record being as good as it was (13-3). It was so annoying because they had never actually played "the big boys" to really determine if they were as good as everyone was saying. I'll give them the fact that their O-Line is balls to the walls good but their defensive line is mediocre at best! The fact that they lost to the Packers proves that their schedule was super easy peasy lemon squeazy AND that they would never be able to compete with the big dogs like Rogers, Brady, Big Ben, and Ryan. I would like to point out the fact that my beloved Giants handed them 2 of those losses because like I said earlier.....they can't compete with the big dogs!

So you could say there was a lot on the line for me with this game and thankfully the packers came through. The game tied. Twenty seconds left. Flipping ridiculously amazing catch was made that set them up in field goal range....and then the magic happened. The football was kicked 53 yards in the air into glorious victory and no need for OT.

I was finally able to breath and heard myself whisper, "Man I love the sport."

Dear Diary-2

I’ve come to the realization that I will never really be consistent with the whole “blog” thing and that’s ok with me. I kind of treat this like my personal diary even though I do have an actual “diary” that I write in every day. More so like a gratitude journal. As much as I want to write everything that I am feeling and thinking, these thoughts are very fragmented and random that it just does not work for me. Half the time I’m day dreaming about far off places that I want to travel, things I want to eat or replay scenarios that happened. I mean the internal monologues that I have are kind of ridiculous but kind of keep me sane since I tend to be a lone wolf and genuinely don’t know anybody that would tolerate all my thoughts, worries and scenarios. Lately I’ve been in this really weird funk of a mood and it all stems from this comparison trap that I fall into. You would think that at 26 years old I would be wise and experienced enough to know that nothing good comes fr...

Let's talk about my first time at the "House"

So I was cleaning out my drive and lo and behold I find this little gem. I wrote this little gem back in college and it's pretty cool seeing how much of an impact my Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles experience mad on me. I want to say that this was what sparked my love for pairing different flavors together. Enjoy!! Leaving the fog dense city of Westwood a band of brothers ensued on a journey to discover the marriage of chicken and waffles that has so many Los Angeles residents relishing in taste bud heaven. Like many on this trip, this would be my first time visiting The House of Chicken and Waffles.Jittering with excitement I sputtered a stream of questions to a veteran of this establishment: How exactly do I order? Is there anything else on the menu? Do I eat the chicken and waffles together in one bite or separately? I continued like a broken record player until we arrived at our destination, my car mates joyfully springing from their seats relishing the opportunity to put a...

Weight Loss: A Brief History

March 2014 November 2013. You know how when someone changes their life drastically you often wonder what their "Aahhhaaa"  moment must have been? Well mine came one day in August 2013 while I had just finished eating an entire bag of Hot Cheeto puffs. It was hot, humid  and I remember wearing an old cheer tank top. I looked down and felt utterly gross as I saw my belly fat and flabby arms beading with sweat. I don't know why  but a feeling of self loathing rushed upon me, not because of how I looked but  for allowing myself to become  the person that had just finished eating an entire bag of Hot Cheetos  without being hungry in the first place. Emotional eating had become the norm. June 2014 August 2014   SMALL. I started very small. My goal was to go an entire week without eating hot cheetos (yeah those suckers had me hooked like no other). Needless to say I relapsed. The addiction was too strong. But I was DETERMINED to prove to m...
